STANDING SEAM ROOF SYSTEMS:

A type of metal roof system with longitudinal seams engagements - typically overlapped and folded in various ways to prevent moisture from entering at the seam. The system is customarily held down to the roof substructure using hidden clips and fasteners. Also known as a raised seam metal roof.

SYMMETRICAL PANEL SYSTEMS:

Two-piece, mechanically seamed systems featuring a seam in the form of a “T” with two beads of continuous sealant – creating the most water-tight seam possible. Benefits of Symmetrical Systems are individual panel replace-ability and superior weather-tightness.

STRUCTURAL METAL ROOF PANELS:

A style of metal roof panel that requires two standing seam panels to be engaged with a mechanical seaming tool, typically incorporating a clip. Since these roofing systems can sometimes support their own weight without a deck, they can be a low cost alternative to Snap-Together Architectural Roof Panel Systems.

CURVED PANEL ROOFING:

With metal panels, curved profiles are created using a machine to form the panel to your desired radius. Choosing a curved standing seam roof should be based upon radius and whether there is a deck present below it.

SNAP LOCK ARCHITECTURAL PANELS:

There are two types of Snap-Lock Panels: one-piece & two-piece. One-piece Snap-Lock Systems require two panel seams to snap together. The direct attachment of the roof panels simulates the look of a mechanically seamed panel without the additional operation of seaming. Two-piece Snap-Lock Systems require both a panel and a cap or batten to bond the two panels by snapping down onto a special clip.

CONCEALED FASTENER WALL PANELS:

These panels are an aesthetically pleasing option where a concealed clip is used to connect the panel to the supporting structure without exposing fasteners to the exterior surface.

EXPOSED FASTENER PANELS:

In these systems, metal panels are lapped over each other and are held down using fasteners that penetrate through the low field of the panel into the structure below.

SHEET METAL TRIM:

Sometimes referred to as flashing, light-gauge sheet metal trim pieces are used around openings at intersections of surfaces to channel water off the metal roof system. ABC manufactures a wide variety of sheet metal roofing trim in lengths up to 32’6”.

COPING:

The piece of metal used to cover the top of a wall and protect it from the elements.

DOWNSPOUTS:

A channel used to carry water from the gutter of a building

RETROFIT FRAMING:

We make two types of framing systems that either use the existing slope or create additional slope for new metal roofing. Using the existing slope, we utilize a notched purlin called Retro-Z or a structural clip with a mounted purlin. These items are mounted to the existing purlin. These two systems are most frequently used over existing lap seam metal roofs.

We also manufacture a structural track and cee channel used to build up slopes on existing commercial roofs.
