These new ENERGY STAR®-rated panels will allow building owners and managers to pursue more LEED-certified facilities that employ durable and long-lasting metal building envelopes.According to ENERGY STAR®, a government-backed program helping businesses and individuals protect the environment through energy efficiency, qualified roof products like these can help reduce the amount of air conditioning needed in buildings and can reduce peak cooling demand by 10 to 15 percent – without sacrificing the aesthetics goal of the architect and design team.
ENERGY STAR® is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy that was created in part to help consumers identify and purchase energy-efficient products to save on heating and cooling bills.
