METAL ROOF JOBS OF THE MONTH

Texas

We will start here in Texas where R and B Roofing in Dallas did a super fine job installing a bunch of Colonial Red Permaseam at the Collin County Juvenile Detention Center-McKinney, TX. When Ray got there to look at the job, he found this:

Looked like somebody screwed up and ordered the panels about 2 feet short and pulled the old splice-r-oo.  Fortunately, he was on the wrong building.

This was the R and B job (below). Congrats to Doug, Kevin and the whole R and B Gang for another super fine job.

Mississippi

Next we go on to Mississippi where Marvin Boyles at Boyles Roofing again demonstrates why he is a total pro at this. We are talking old school here, no fancy computer brake. All the trim laps fit together snug with few if any rivets.  This is quality workmanship at its very best. I hope he is training people over there in Waynesville!

Louisiana

Next we move on to Louisiana where we have 2 candidates:

First Juneau Odenwald is retrofitting a couple of buildings at Xavier University in New Orleans. This one is about 7 stories tall and part of the existing brand X roof blew off during Katrina. We went in with a 22 gauge 200 DL over Retro Zees. They are doing a great job here. Here is an in progress shot.

Finally, we did a job with J. Reynolds from Fort Worth at the New Orleans Airport for the Fed EX. This was a 600 square re-roof where an existing trapezoidal panel was removed, tons of framing was added and a new 200 DL was installed. This was ½” slope and the Titan 300 Style Curb details were used here with great success.  Congrats to Matt Skipper, Jerry Reynolds, John Camp and Eric Berg for doing a great job here.

Update

Here is the latest from our Korean Friend. Some more of that Zinc. That is some pretty fancy work there. I am sure that gutter was fun.
