METAL ROOF JOBS OF THE MONTH
Texas
We have two great looking Titan Jobs underway that we will feature this month. I mentioned the first one in last month’s newsletter. This job is here in Houston where Sterling Harrison of ARCI sold a Titan 300 re-roof to a guy that was tired of his computer equipment getting wet. He wanted a PERMINANT SOLUTION.
Sterling’s man Marco Ramirez and the rest of the boys at ARCI have done a great job on their first Titan installation. Here is a progress shot as they work around their first curb. Note the use of 2 different panel widths. This insures that no seams are cut going into pipe penetrations or curbs. The roof slopes down to the left into a stainless internal gutter that we broke in 30’ pieces.

There were 4 curb mounted units, 1 roof hatch, 1 blower and 7 smaller units mounted on wood blocking.
Here are 4 of the smaller units before:

They moved all 7 into one area and ran all of the condensate lines into one penetration.
Here is an almost finished shot of the same units. The blocking under the units was being changed here.

Different width panels were used to make sure pipe penetrations landed inside the panels: These guys are pros.

This owner should really NEVER have to worry about a roof leak on this building again. Thank you Sterling Harrison and Marco Ramirez.
Louisiana
Let’s move on to Louisiana where Titan Pioneers: Assee Gary and his son Johnny are working on their 3rd Titan job. This is a re-roof of another retail store in New Iberia. Like the ARCI job, we have log panels directly over an old single ply. We did a pull test on the deck to determine the clip spacing and used ULTRA SHIMS as needed to keep the panel level in the low spots. It looks like they used 5 shims on this panel.

Here they had a number of large units lined up in rows. This is where the Titan really makes sense. The gutter is toward the telephone pole.

Here is the eave before the eave fasteners are applied. Notice the panel is bent down at about 30 degrees on the eave trim. This makes sure the water does not try to flow back under the panel.

Johnny does some super fine work. Congratulations to Gary Construction!
Now let’s see what our Korean Friend is up to. Here is another nice Zinc application of horizontal standing seam panels.
